One of our owners, Russell, recently reutned from a summer trip to
Europe where he visited Germany, connected with relatives, explored
the continent, and more! Below are a few trip highlights from his
adventures!
KOBLENZ, GERMANY
Russell began his trip in an area called Koblenz, Germany, where he visited his family- his brother, nieces, nephews, and their families. Koblenz was established in 8 B.C. by the Romans located at the confluence of the Rhine and Moselle rivers. It's also home of Canyon Bicycles which are quickly becoming popular in the United States.
TAURER, AUSTRIA
After spending almost a week with his brother and family, Russell traveled 10 hours south to the small town of Taurer, Austria, where he spent the night at the Matreier Taurenhause. This is where Russell started his 9-day trek around Großglockner, the highest mountain in the Austrian Alps at 12,461 feet.
GROßGLOCKNER, AUSTRIA
From Taurer, Russell started his 9-day trek around Großglockner, the highest mountain in the Austrian Alps at 12, 461 feet. While on this adventure through Großglockner, Russell and his brother went on a hike of 72 incredible miles.
"I love traveling to Germany and hiking the Austrian Alps fo many reasons. Beyond the great time spent with family, the local people and food were amazing, and the hike delivered astonisheing views around every turn. Looking foward to when I can visit again!"
